It’s hard to surprise us with any brands that try an automotive tie-up to help boost every product involved, but, well, this one has done it. It’s a Ford GT from noted car customizer Mansory, and it was inspired by NBA player Steph Curry and his partnership with apparel company Under Armour.

You won’t be able to buy the car, but you will be able to snag the shoe. But not this shoe. The new Echo sneakers will drop in April, and here’s to praying they look better than this poor Ford.
Mansory Builds Another Of Its Ultra-Rare Ford GTs
German tuner Mansory is all about going over the top. Want your new Cullinan to produce vomiting and Instagram posts in equal measure? Need your Porsche 911 to look like you ticked every box in the Need For Speed: Underground configurator tool? Mansory is the company you want to talk to.
The tuner has turned its attention to the Ford GT, now called the Le Mansory Ford GT (yes, ‘the’ and le are the same word, but Ferrari did it first). The result is… a lot.

Less “Man, Sorry” and more “Dude, not bad”.
Mansory made the Ford GT wider, to start. The carbon body is two inches wider than standard, and that’s just the start of the body kit. The new ad-ons are wild, based on Mansory’s “standard” Le Mansory, which was limited to just three copies worldwide.
New headlights are the part Mansory brags the most about with this car. They’re all-new for the Le Mansory and the company says they give it “a completely independent look” when compared with the Ford GT. There are new aero parts and custom 21-inch wheels.
Car Meet Shoe
The whole Mansory Under Armour model is finished in black and yellow, which is the color of the upcoming shoes. The black portions of the outside of the car are Mansory’s checkerboard carbon fiber, and we’ll give the tuner credit for that because the effect is tremendous.
Under Armour’s logo shows up all around the car. It’s on the fender, the side skirt, and the rear wing, as well as stitched into the Alcantara interior. Mansory and Under Armour say that the paintwork is meant to “pay tribute to Curry’s dynamic presence.” It might not, but boosting Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 from 656 horsepower to 710 might do the job.

Our eyeballs are grateful we’re very unlikely to see this garish design out on the road someday.
As far as reviewing the looks of the shoe, well, we’ll stick to cars. It matches the look of the car, at least, and that seems to be what they were going for. The yellow and black is a limited-edition shoe that won’t be offered for sale to the public. The real Under Armour Echo will launch in April.
