Bentley Motors
expands Crewe HQ

A new
engineering technical centre has been opened at Bentley’s headquarters in
Crewe.

Located across
two floors, the centre will include a prototype workshop for future models,
materials development and a software integration department.

This news
come after the opening of a design studio and the announcement of the new paint shop
due to open next year.

BMW iX5 Hydrogen

The BMW iX5
has been announced to be the first model to offer a choice of five different
drivetrain variants – petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, battery electric and
hydrogen fuel cell.

The compact hydrogen iX5 model is now entering series production, set to be released in 2028.

Vice
president of hydrogen vehicles at BMW Michael Rath commented: “The new BMW iX5 Hydrogen will
be a true BMW – pioneering in its class and delivering BMW’s typical driving
pleasure.” As such, it represents the second mainstay of electromobility, after
battery-electric vehicles.”

First
teaser for Peugeot Polygon concept car revealed

A teaser video
has been released by Peugeot announcing the new Peugeot Polygon concept car.

The video
depicts an illuminated Peugeot logo surrounded by circular lights, which
parts way to reveal a screen animating the new concept’s name, with blue being
the primary colour utilised. From this, perhaps we can expect a striking blue
geometrical concept that leans heavily on its lighting signature and front face
graphics. Time will soon tell…

Limited launch the Halo wheel

The Halo wheel
is designed exclusively for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and is the wheel-makers first
complete carbon composite car wheel.

A forged
aluminium centrepiece and carbon fibre rim make up the sleek wheel, with the
black and bronze colour-way emphasising the forked spokes.

Executive
chair at Dymag Christopher Shelley remarked: “Halo represents the most advanced
and exclusive production wheel in our history. Dymag has the platform to take
carbon hybrid wheel technology to a global scale. Halo is the perfect example
of how heritage, innovation, and industrial strength combine to define the
future.”
